Australian Qualifications Framework
The Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) is the national policy for regulated qualifications in Australian education and training. It incorporates the qualifications from each education and training sector into a single comprehensive national qualifications framework. The main role of the AQF is to provide the standard for each qualification and ensure consistency for qualification accreditation. The AQF applies to all States and Territories within Australia which allows portability of student qualifications throughout the country.
Industry regulators such as AQF, ASQA and Industry Skills Councils ensure reliable standards of training within Australia. This contributes to Australia’s excellent reputation in providing quality vocational education. Because of this, Australian Vocational Education and Training (VET) qualifications are highly valued by International students.
