TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment

Yes, it has been deemed equivalent, however the units differ and there are now 12 units instead of 10 units. The occupational outcome for entry-level VET teachers, trainers and assessors is deemed equivalent to the previous version.

The units that are deemed equivalent are:

• TAEASS311 Contribute to assessment is deemed equivalent to TAEASS311 Contribute to assessment
• TAEDEL301 Provide work skill instruction is deemed equivalent to TAEDEL311 Provide work skill instruction
• TAEDEL402 Plan, organise and facilitate learning in the workplace is deemed equivalent to TAEDEL412 Facilitate workplace-based learning
• TAEDEL404 Mentor in the workplace is deemed equivalent to TAEDEL414 Mentor in the workplace
• TAETAS401 Maintain training and assessment information is deemed equivalent to TAETAS411 Maintain training and assessment information

There are 12 units of competency whereas the TAE40116 had 10 units of competency. The TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment has 6 core units and 6 electives.

28/8/23  I just received my TAE40122 Certificate in the mail for my TAE22! Love the silver embossing! I completed my Upgrade via RPL, for all units except equivalents. The RPL process with ITTA was clear, fair, and feedback was timely. Candidate guides were crystal clear and the process from start to finish was a positive experience! The TAE22 RPL tools are excellent from a candidate perspective! Chris Blanch

4/1/24 Everyone was really supportive during this process but I specifically would love to call out Jo Lucke for being really quick, attentive, supportive + flexible with her working hours given the way we work and sometimes getting more or less time to get tasks done. I would not have been able to complete this as quickly or efficiently without her.  JS
