Cost - Fee Free

To be eligible for a FEE-FREE PLACE in TAE50216 Diploma of Training Design and Development you must meet the following criteria:

  • Live or work in NSW
  • Be an Australian Citizen, New Zealand Citizen or Permanent Australian Resident

All Aboriginal students and students with a disability will continue to be eligible for fee-free training.

Workshops, Distance delivery and RPL Assessment pathways available – may commence at any time.

Recommended Duration

1 to 2 years – varies according to candidates skills and knowledge .

Volume of Learning

The volume of learning for the Diploma of Training Design and Development as a Learning and Assessment pathway is typically one to two years. (1200 – 2400 hours).

Entry Requirements

There are no entry requirements for this qualification, however it is desirable that candidates are employed in a lead role within the VET (Vocational Education and Training) sector.

TAE50216 Diploma of Training Design and Development - Course Description

This qualification - TAE50216 Diploma of Training Design and Development - reflects the roles of training developers and instructional designers who are responsible for analysing training needs and designing training solutions and products to meet workplace capability requirements, and evaluating the effectiveness of training programs. They may have a role in providing guidance and advice to trainers and assessors, promoting innovative practices, e.g. e- learning, and in researching and incorporating best practice in training and assessment into training programs and products.
