How to Apply for RPL
The International Teacher Training Academy specialises in making RPL uncomplicated, relevant and practical. The Academy has developed RPL tools based on practical work based evidence. These tools give specific examples of evidence that candidates may provide. Candidates will receive personalised service and will be allocated one of the Academy’s experienced teachers to support and guide them through the RPL process.

General Information on RPL
RPL is an assessment of a candidate’s existing skills and knowledge. Candidates often undertake RPL to advance their careers through gaining national certification, and possibly save money and time in the process.
Every RTO must offer RPL but not all RTOs offer the same high levels of personal service as the team at ITTA. Our pledge at ITTA is to provide personal support and the highest levels of customer service to assist our clients to succeed in their RPL application but without compromise of quality or assessment rigor.
The figure above shows that RPL is a formal assessment process. We support candidates to gather evidence of their competencies which is then evaluated (or assessed). The national performance standards for the qualification/s are the benchmarks for assessment. A successful submission gains formal recognition resulting in you being awarded your qualification/s.
RPL is not a guarantee of a qualification being awarded!
With RPL, there is no guarantee of a ‘pass’ just because a candidate is enrolled. However, the 1-on-1 contact with our staff will help candidates in the evidence gathering process. The process has been designed so candidates can make their strongest application for skills recognition.
