I do not dispute that accurate assessment of competency is necessary however I believe the original assessment units in TAE40110 were adequate. Adding TAEASS502 Design and develop assessment tools as a core in the TAE40116 does not reflect what at trainer and assessor would generally be expected to do at this level. From my 17 years of experience working as a VET trainer, I know that designing and developing assessment tools is a very specialised skill and should be left to those who have the experience and expertise.

I must say that it is paramount. Take a look at this article which was shared by Tatiana Morley with the ITTA team: https://www.insources.com.au/in-blog/why-provide-feedback-to-students?mc_cid=09e8155279&mc_eid=308.
