BSB50420 Diploma of Leadership and Management
A manager’s most important, and most difficult job is to manage people – others and self. You must lead, mentor, motivate, inspire, encourage, discipline and evaluate employees. As a manager you have the authority to sanction or restrict most aspects of the working day of your employees. This places you in a position of power and responsibility. Managing people is not simple or easy, however, it can be done successfully and can be a very rewarding experience. Remember that management, like any other skill, is something that you can improve with reflection, study and practice. This page provides details on the BSB50420 Diploma of Leadership & Management offered by ITTA.

“Hi Kerry. I would like to thank you once again for the time and effort you put in to get us all across the line in our studies for the Diploma. You have been an inspiration to me in many ways.” KA
“Hi Kerry, Thanks for the feedback. I am actually using a lot of the skills and knowledge from this course in a variety of ways, it has been really helpful. The role I took on earlier this year has seen me use everything I have learned on both the TAE and this Leadership and Management course. It has me considering a career change. Thanks and all the best.” Jacqui
“I have found the Academy to be most supportive and helpful in assisting me to gain this qualification. I would highly recommend both the International Teacher Training Academy and the Diploma of Leadership and Management to Aboriginal managers/supervisors/coordinators who are looking to improve their management and leadership skills.” Janelle Brown – Gurehlgam.
“Hi Kerry, Thank you for flexibility with those dates, I do appreciate it. Most of us are under a rather heavy workload and like many others I was approaching this with dread and anticipated racing through it at a hundred miles an hour just to knock it over. But for the record found it an absolutely fantastic unit. Well written, and with assessments that were equally well-written and fair. It’s learning that I really enjoyed and found valuable – so thank you! I’ve already snaffled a copy of Goleman from a local op shop, and it’s on my to-read list, so am looking forward to continuing the journey.” Trav.
“Hi Kerry, Thank you for your email. I am so pleased to have completed my EI unit. I found it very interesting and helpful. Thank you so much for your patience with me as well as for your feedback and thoughts on my assessments. I really appreciate all your thoughtfulness. Thank you also for your recommendations for the books. I will read them as I think this is such a vital subject in the world we live in today, and yet, it is so underutilised in the work environment. Thanks again for all your help Kerry! Have a great day!” Kind Regards, Steve.
“Kerry, This activity has given me some insights about my unknown self and some confidence of my intellectual capabilities. My colleagues have portrayed me to be smart and intelligent. I’m a modest person and do not believe in self-praise. Most of the time I underestimate my intelligence and capabilities. Due to my modesty I am self-conscious and at times feel tense to attempt new tasks. Now I have confidence in my ability and intelligence to move forward in my life and career. I know I am a friendly and helpful person. I normally do not wait for others to seek help from me but am always willing to offer help to others. Thank you so much.” KN
“Hello Carolyn, Kerry and Chris. I wish to thank you for providing such excellent training and guidance for professional development. I am very grateful for your support in passing on your knowledge and wisdom for the TAE and Diploma of Leadership and Management PD. You are a fantastic team at ITTA International Teacher Training Academy Australia.” MT
1/10/21 “Thanks Kerry! I am so happy I did the Emotional Intelligence unit as I have gained so much confidence. I will continue to learn and develop emotional intelligence. Thank you for the link too! It was lovely to meet you Kerry. Your class was so enjoyable that I am actually looking forward to doing more courses where previously I was very hesitant to take on any kind of studies. Thank you so much!” ZC
10/11/21 Hi Kerry. Thank you so much for being such a fabulous facilitator for our course over the past year! It’s gone so quickly, but yet I feel as though we’ve all put in so much effort and hard work. I’ve really enjoyed the learning and the subjects, and while a lot of it was prior knowledge for me, I have also certainly gained much more of an insight into the management side of things. Chris L
10/11/21 Hi Kerry. Thank you! I’m nearly there!!! Thanks for everything you have done for all of us (especially me!) You have seen me through some pretty dark times and I will be forever grateful. EG
11/11/21 Hi Kerry. Thankyou so much. It really has been a crazy journey, and you have been an amazing leader, teacher and friend throughout the year. I have learnt so much, not just about leadership and management but about technology and time management. YOU ARE THE BEST!! LW
12/11/21 Hi Kerry. Who hoo! It’s a great feeling to have completed the Diploma, but your teaching style was very easy to follow. I have gained practical knowledge that I can use daily at work now and hope that I can fully utilize what I have learned in a Supervisory/Management role in the future. Never say Never. Comparing the two courses I was completing, this was a much more enjoyable course and I have you to thank for that. I thank you for your time and patience with us all. TC
26/8/22 G’day Kerry, Thanks so much, I’m stoked to have finally finished. I’d really like to thank you for being our teacher Kerry, you kept our course enjoyable, engaging, and informative. You also made sure the course was relevant to our industry, which really helped myself and the other fellas resonate with the course easier. Thanks for also mentoring us with general workplace questions and computing skills/tricks. I learnt a lot from you with things that were not even part of the course. I wish you all the best for the future Kerry, and will be recommending yourself and this course to anyone who requires it. Thanks again. JK
